BakedBrie marketplace refund policy
Beta draft. Approved by the founder on September 19, 2026 for the controlled beta; pending counsel review.
Proposed version: refund-policy-beta-1
Uniform 14-day policy
A business buyer may request a refund for a BakedBrie marketplace purchase within 14 calendar days after the initial charge. This policy applies uniformly to software licenses, installation, Updates, and Managed upkeep sold through the marketplace. A listing may offer better rights but may not reduce this baseline.
The seller identified at checkout is the merchant of record and provides first-line refund support. The buyer can also contact bb@paragraphai.com if the seller does not respond or the marketplace record is incorrect.
Amount and recurring purchases
- A full refund reverses the eligible charged amount through the seller's connected account and applies the corresponding BakedBrie application-fee refund behavior.
- A partial refund is allowed when requested or expressly accepted by the buyer and must be recorded against the original charge and offering components.
- Canceling recurring Updates or Managed upkeep prevents future renewal charges after the applicable cancellation cutoff. A charge already made remains eligible under the same 14-day window.
- Taxes and currency effects are handled through the original charge and payment processor as applicable. The buyer receives a refund record identifying the seller.
How to request
The buyer must identify the purchase and state whether it seeks a full refund, a partial amount, or cancellation. The seller must acknowledge the request promptly, preserve relevant delivery and support evidence, and process an approved refund through BakedBrie's marketplace flow rather than sending an unlinked off-platform payment.
Abuse, disputes, and mandatory rights
BakedBrie may review suspected fraud or duplicate requests but will not use that review to erase the 14-day baseline. Charge disputes do not replace the refund process. Nothing in this policy limits a right that cannot lawfully be limited. Final timing, exceptions required by law, insolvency handling, and dispute wording require counsel approval.
